I grew up watching my grandfather transform simple sheets of copper into striking sculptures. He never treated art as exclusive to galleries; for him, it was an everyday wonder — a way of elevating the ordinary. My mother fuelled that passion by taking me to galleries, where I fell in love with the fluid lines and shapes of nature. Even as a child, I realised the harmony I saw in trees and oceans could be expressed in metal, stone, and gems — jewellery that would inspire the same awe I felt outdoors.
My path to jewellery was anything but direct. I first trained as a pilot, flying skies that fed my sense of adventure but left little room for creativity. After four years, I left aviation and briefly apprenticed under an Italian tailor, absorbing the discipline of meticulous craft — only to discover my real fascination lay in jewels. Undeterred by challenges, I learned by trial, error, and an unwavering belief that anything is possible with passion and ingenuity.

Today, my work draws on a lifetime of eclectic influences, from my Australian upbringing to travels across Europe. My atelier in Valenza, and expanding production in Geneva, reflects my love for tradition and innovation, nurtured by genuine client relationships. Ciufoli has never relied on advertising; it has flourished through referrals and heartfelt connections built on trust. For me, designing transcends aesthetics — it’s about creating an intimate bond between the piece, its wearer, and the journey we share.
